Introducing Tithe.ly - An Online Giving Option

We are excited to introduce Tithe.ly - an online giving option! With recommendations from both The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS) and two other congregations in our Diocese, we have setup an online giving account with Tithe.ly. This online portal allows you to donate to St. Paul’s quickly and easily. You can use a credit card or your bank account. You do not even need to setup a Tithe.ly account in order to contribute. (You are welcome to do so to save time on future contributions if you’d like.)

The link for our St. Paul’s specific giving portal is https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/2319049 and can be found via the DONATE button on the upright corner of our website (https://www.stpaulslaporte.org/) The screen should look like the one below:

You are welcome to give one time, or setup a recurring payment if that is more convenient to you. You will also have an option to “Cover the Fees” of making an electronic donation if you so desire. (The fees for this service are based on each transaction with a $0.30 flat transaction fee + 2.9% of the amount donated.)

Of course, St. Paul’s will always welcome cash and checks, which have no explicit fees. If that is how you prefer to support your church community, please continue to do so. We also recognize that in this expanding virtual community making an electronic donation is much easier for people joining us from all around the country! (And that is a delightful opportunity for us.)

All contributions, whether in person or electronic, will be properly receipted at the end of the year for IRS tax purposes.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Mother Michelle (priest@stpaulslaporte.org) or Treasurer Sue Cummings with any questions. We have tested the link and the original donation made was delivered safely and promptly to our checking account!

Blessings!

Worship Options Beginning Sunday July 5th!

Greetings! I’m Mother Michelle Walker, Priest-in-Charge of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and I’m thrilled to share that we will have TWO worship options beginning July 5th: in-person and online! With careful planning and a downward (or stable) trend of new COVID-19 cases in LaPorte County, we are ready to begin offering both in-person and online worship.

Beginning July 5th you may join us in-person for our 9am service. Masks are required. Social distancing will be enforced. Frequent hand sanitizing is encouraged. And please only attend if you have no signs of illness. If you do plan to attend, please register here. (Due to limited seating, we are registering people. Registration will close in the event we reach out seating capacity.) We also request that you review our regathering guidelines and take a peek at our seating capacity chart so that you may be best prepared to enjoy our service.

We are equally thrilled to share that we plan to continue live streaming. If you’ve already logged into and enjoyed our live streamed services, feel free to continue to worship with us that way. We realize not everyone is ready to be in public and we’re happy to offer our live stream option indefinitely. You can find us at St. Paul’s Facebook for LIVE from St. Paul’s on Sunday mornings beginning at 8:50am for our organ prelude and at 9am for Morning Prayer.

Please note July 5th will be a service of Morning Prayer with Holy Eucharist offered July 12th and beyond.

We also offer weekly:

Stay tuned here for future updates. We recommend you check weekly for our service offerings as we continue to monitor the COVID-19 cases in LaPorte County.

Blessings to you during these times. You are in our prayers.

In abundant gratitude,
Mother Michelle Walker, The St. Paul’s Regathering Team, and The Faithful at St. Paul’s

LIVE from St. Paul's - June 7, 2020

Live stream video from Sunday June 7, 2020

Despite a little issue with the sound, and a copyright claim for our postlude (which has been edited out of this video), I think it's safe to declare our first live stream a success! Thank you to the Center for Congregations and their Connect Through Tech(nology) Grant for allowing us the opportunity to do this. The video has been uploaded to our YouTube channel linked below.

PLEASE subscribe to our YouTube channel as it increases our visibility and will open up more features for us to use. Eventually we will have an entire library of videos there. It all starts with this first one!
